oshe launches new webpage
In an effort to advance sexual health in New York State, the Office of Sexual Health and Epidemiology (OSHE) has recently developed and launched the Doxycycline Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (Doxy-PEP) webpage to increase New Yorkers’ awareness of this innovative approach to sexually transmitted infection prevention, which includes education materials for both patients and providers.Raising awareness about sexual health can lead to a more informed and healthier community. This includes educating patients about safe sex practices, STIs, the importance of regular screenings and check-ups, and the role of Doxy-PEP in preventing certain STIs.

oshe launches survey
OSHE is also conducting a survey about using Doxy-PEP to prevent bacterial STIs like syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea after condomless survey was launched in February 2026 in upstate New York-funded PrEP Clinics to learn more about how people access and use Doxy-PEP and to assess barriers to using Doxy-PEP across New York State. The findings from this survey will help OSHE improve sexual health services and education programs throughout New York State. For sti dashboard updates, forthcoming announcements, and future blog posts, please sign-up here and follow us on social media:
